How Can We Get All Our Disagreements Sorted Out??

Whether differences with a friend, a coworker, a spouse, or a committee full of people, disagreements can cause hurt, frustration, lack of progress, and even fractured relationships. We want to be heard, be understood, and be RIGHT. Trying to persuade the other can turn into a battle where everyone involved is wounded. A very important principle to remember is to put the relationship ahead of making yourself understood.  When I was teaching high school, the best teacher (and the most liked by students) was the one who treated each student with respect, even the troublemakers.  I watched them respond to him and come to him with their concerns or just to talk.  And God will make us able to treat others with respect as we allow him to work in us.

Kay Bleyer's Christian Counseling

I believe a Biblical worldview not only sets standards and parameters for both human behavior and interactions, but also for the application of knowledge for social, behavioral, and medical science.

About Christian Counseling

As a Christian counselor practicing in West Lafayette, Indiana, my objective is to help my clients to understand something of God’s grace and love as they work through problems, and to choose biblical truth as they move forward into healing. I believe that the truth of God, when known, believed, and obeyed, sets people free. When people believe God, they are set free to become who God designed them to be!

My Beliefs

I work to serve hurting people through Christian counseling that graciously applies the power of God’s truth to heal hearts and restore relationships.

As a Christian therapist, I believe that counseling should be:

  • Caring and compassionate
  • Christ-centered and Biblically based
  • Helpful to those seeking lasting results
  • Encouraging a closer relationship with God

Counseling Services

I offer a variety of counseling services for teens, adults and seniors. Whether you need help maintaining a relationship, dealing with the impact of a divorce, managing anxiety or depression, or recovering from abuse, I can help. I specialize in relationship counseling, guidance for moving through life stages, coping strategies for depression and other brain disorders, overcoming the trauma of physical, sexual, verbal or emotional abuse, and dealing with painful emotional issues to help build a more peaceful life.
